As a student athlete, you will effectively learn how to manage all of the demands on your time, energy, and health in this fast-paced, media saturated world which can cause unnecessary stress in life. Learn how to change your way of being and become a mindful athlete by creating a space to empower yourself to develop your “inner game”. Through practical and contemplative hands-on activities and discussion, you will learn: to increase focus and attention, strengthen your mind-body awareness, nurture embodied self-regulation practices, and foster the ability to immerse yourself in the present moment. These effective mindful tools will enhance your training and find the focus you need during competition and in the classroom. Bring a mat, water, comfy clothes and get ready for a fun experience.
