We will begin our day with a beautiful ride to the beautiful LETCHWORTH STATE PARK - known as the GRAND Canyon of the East. Letchworth State Park is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests. We will meet a step on guide at the Mt. Morris gate to begin our tour of this famous park & have photo opportunities throughout the park as well as a stop at the fabulous overlooks. LUNCH is included at the GLEN IRIS INN. Following lunch, walk to the William Pryor Letchworth Museum. This state park museum exhibits collections of Indian artifacts, Civilian Conservations Corps history, pioneer artifcats, pre-Revolution Council house, the Nancy Jemison cabin, and historic documents belonging to William Pryor Letchworth. Our final stop of the day is Deer Run Winery in Geneseo for a cheese, chocolate and wine tasting and presentation by the winemaker.
