HISTORICAL ASTRONOMY SERIES: DARK MATTER

ID : 64254
« back to classes page
This spring, we are pairing our popular monthly sky tours with astronomy topic talks and full dome
planetarium presentations. Each evening will begin with an immersive planetarium presentation about
a different astronomical topic. Next, we will take you on a tour of the current skies, highlighting visible
planets, deep sky objects, and any upcoming special astronomical events. Feel free to ask your
astronomy questions throughout the night! (Ages 10 – Adult)

While we don’t know what it is, scientists know what it isn’t. This program will explore the mystery of
dark matter. Learn how Vera Rubin and Fritz Zwicky worked decades apart, but came to the same
conclusion that there is an unseen force guiding our universe.
