SPACE WEATHER: WHAT'S UP WITH THE SUN?

ID : 64257
« back to classes page
This spring, we are pairing our popular monthly sky tours with astronomy topic talks and full dome
planetarium presentations. Each evening will begin with an immersive planetarium presentation about
a different astronomical topic. Next, we will take you on a tour of the current skies, highlighting visible
planets, deep sky objects, and any upcoming special astronomical events. Feel free to ask your
astronomy questions throughout the night! (Ages 10 – Adult)

What's been going on with the sun and why are we seeing so many auroras? Learn about the cycles of
solar activity, space weather and what it means to have a “solar maximum” in this program that will help
you understand the inner machinery of our star, the Sun.
