This fall, we are pairing our popular monthly sky tours with astronomy topic talks and full dome
planetarium presentations. Each evening will begin with an immersive planetarium presentation about
a different astronomical topic. Next, we will take you on a tour of the current skies, highlighting visible
planets, deep sky objects, and any upcoming special astronomical events. Feel free to ask your
astronomy questions throughout the night! (Ages 10 – Adult)

This class will combine a “Telescopes 101” introduction for the amateur astronomer with a survey of the
greatest observational instruments of today and tomorrow. We’ll teach you what to look if you want to
buy your own (just in time for the holidays!) and help you understand how instruments like the James
Webb Space Telescope contribute to our understandings of the cosmos. We’ll cap off the night with
Galileo: The Power of the Telescope which recounts the life and career of history’s most famous
astronomer.
