FEBRUARY SKY TOUR - Celestial Mechanics

This spring, we are pairing our popular monthly sky tours with astronomy topic talks and full dome
planetarium presentations. Each evening will begin with an immersive planetarium presentation about
a different astronomical topic. Next, we will take you on a tour of the current skies, highlighting visible
planets, deep sky objects, and any upcoming special astronomical events. Feel free to ask your
astronomy questions throughout the night! (Ages 10 – Adult)

Rotations, Revolutions, Moon Mechanics, Elliptical Orbits and more are the topics this evening as
Veteran Astronomy teacher Heather Thuman and Planetarium Director Mark Pery team up to show you
all the celestial phenomena that are part of an introductory Astronomy course. But this time, there’s no
test! Join us to de-mystify the workings of the solar system and enhance your night sky knowledge.
