« back to classes page
This spring, we are pairing our popular monthly sky tours with astronomy topic talks and full dome
planetarium presentations. Each evening will begin with an immersive planetarium presentation about
a different astronomical topic. Next, we will take you on a tour of the current skies, highlighting visible
planets, deep sky objects, and any upcoming special astronomical events. Feel free to ask your
astronomy questions throughout the night! (Ages 10 – Adult)

What would you give up in the name of science? How far would you go to prove yourself right? Our
ongoing Historic Astronomer Series continues with an exploration of the monumental impact that
Galileo Galilei has had on astronomy and the sacrifices he made in his personal life to avoid persecution
(or worse) from the Catholic Church. From his experiments with gravity and the unquestionable
telescopic proof that catapulted our understanding of the clockwork of the solar system into the
modern age this program will highlight the accomplishments of one the giants of astronomy. Also
includes a tour of the seasonal stars and planets for the month.
