This is an introductory course specifically designed for children in a one to one, private lesson format. The student learns right from the beginning everything from parts of the guitar, how to play single note melodies, basic chords and having lots of fun learning songs; including singing and accompanying themselves. A parent has an option to also take a lesson at the same time to stay ahead of the student and make the entire process a family activity. Learning to play guitar is one of those activities which scientists advocate wholeheartedly for developing BOTH the right and left side brain functions. The logic based learning improves math and science related skills as well as the creative side. In addition, students become more confident in themselves, develop self esteem and are comfortable around others in expressing their own ideas, feelings and develop into real individuals. Price includes 5 lessons, 30 minutes each. As the start date is customized per individual, students may register anytime during the semester and as often as they like.
