Start from where you are! This is a wonderful class for students who have tried Yoga once or twice, or for those who have absolutely no experience whatsoever. Students will learn to build each posture from the ground up, learning to focus on their own alignment and their body's cues, making for a safe, stable, and comfortable way of moving. This class includes many different aspects of yoga practice, such as body awareness, pranayama (yogic breathing), postures, relaxation, concentration, and guided meditation. Students should bring a yoga mat, a yoga block, and bottled water to class.
