« back to classes page
This spring, we are pairing our popular monthly sky tours with astronomy topic talks and full dome planetarium shows.  We will take you on a tour of the current skies, highlighting visible planets, deep sky objects, and any upcoming special astronomical events. Once you've had your introductory tour, feel free to ask your astronomy questions! We'll use our state of the art planetarium visualization system to take you to see objects of curiosity and wonder.  Each evening will conclude with an immersive planetarium presentation about a different astronomical topic.

Our June Sky Tour offers a fascinating look at the constellations of summertime as well as some of the best telescopic/binocular objects.  With great weather on the way, learn all the amazing things to see and experience throughout the summer season.  We will also focus on the past accomplishments of one of the most advanced ancient civilizations: The Maya.  Go back in time with a fulldome feature that explores the astronomical contributions of these ingenious and innovative people, their stories and ideas.  Using colorful animations and illustrations the dome is transformed into an immersive storybook.  Additionally, we will take a look at some specific temples and uncover their secrets. (Ages 10-adult)
