Exercise for the mind and body to improve flexibility, strength, balance and coordination. This class is based upon the Baptiste system of power yoga and concentrates on proper alignment of the body in motion, strengthening all major muscle groups, especially core and upper body. This is absolutely a total body experience! Students should have knowledge of basic yoga postures, such as Warrior 1 & 2, Triangle and Extended Side Angle. Students without knowledge of basic postures, should start out with either Beginner Yoga or Beginner Power Yoga. Sun Salutations are used throughout the class. Students should bring a yoga mat, a yoga block, and bottled water to class.
