This time-tested workshop (typically seven sessions), has introduced thousands of students to the world of photography for more than thirty years. Lectures cover traditional subjects such as I.S.O., apertures, shutters, depth-of-field, etc., as well as digital topics such as resolution, file formats, histograms, memory cards, etc. This hands-on workshop includes lectures, one-on-one in-class shooting, and several field trips (usually scheduled on Sat. or Sun, afternoons). These weekend field trips may unavoidably end up being organized beyond the end of the workshop because of scheduling conflicts with other weekend Field Trip Workshops, or bad weather. Students are responsible for providing their own transportation for all outings. Aesthetics and composition are covered in the Field Trip Workshops. A full workshop outline is available upon request. No prior photographic knowledge is assumed.
