« back to classes page
Travel writing is fun!  The good news is that you don’t have to go very far to start writing travel articles. You can begin with destinations close to your home. Think about interesting attractions that others would want to know about. Perhaps you travel often for enjoyment or for your job. You have a lot to share with readers about places you visit or have visited.
This one-day “mini” workshop provides all the information you need to help get you started. It includes an overview of the travel field such as article structure, markets, income potential and using quotes. You’ll learn about the different types of travel articles you can write, how to structure each one and develop your writing style.
A key element of this course is how to write attention-grabbing “visual” query letters and article leads designed to impress an editor. Whether it’s full or part-time, travel writing can be a great source of additional income.  Included is guidebook titled, "You Can Write & Sell Travel Articles."
