NOVEMBER SKY TOUR AND COLONIZING THE SOLAR SYSTEM

ID : 55951
« back to classes page
At the beginning of each month, we will take you on a tour of the current skies highlighting visible planets, deep sky objects, and any upcoming special astronomical events. Once you've had your introductory tour, feel free to ask your astronomy questions! We'll use our state of the art planetarium visualization system to take you to see objects of curiosity and wonder.  Each evening will conclude with an immersive planetarium presentation about a different astronomical topic.

Have you ever dreamed of visiting another body in our Solar System?  Living in a base on our Moon or perhaps on planet Mars?  What about the other options such as certain moons of Solar System planets?  Are any other planets a possible haven for habitation?  We will explore some the difficulties and the possibilities of living off the Earth, how we humans might adapt and how dangerous such an endeavor could be for us.  Ages 8 - adult
